Ncardia is a privately held stem cell solution provider for drug discovery screening and cell therapy development. We operate worldwide with research labs, manufacturing facilities and offices in Belgium and the Netherlands. Our goal is to be the supportive and trusted partner to Biotech & Pharma companies in the human induced Pluripotent Stem Cell (hiPSC) drug discovery and cell therapy spaces.
Ncardia develops, produces and commercializes hiPSC based solutions. Our offerings extend from concept development to pre-clinical studies, including custom manufacturing of a range of cell types, as well as discovery services such as disease modelling, screening, and safety assays. Manufacturing process development expertise supports the development of cell therapy products.

We are looking for a Scientific Content Marketer to support Ncardia’s growth plans. Your main responsibility will be to raise market awareness and generate leads, by producing engaging and informational scientific copy for print and digital marketing materials and for the Ncardia website.
Our ideal candidate is:
- An excellent technical writer, who understands how to translate scientific information into informative, compelling and engaging messages,
- Experienced in writing content for a scientifically oriented audience, preferably in the pharmaceutical and/or biotech field,
- Pro-active and result-oriented, with strong analytical skills,
- A motivated self-starter and able to work independently.
This position will report to the Marketing Manager, and will either be home based or office based in Ncardia facilities at Leiden, The Netherlands or Gosselies, Belgium.
- Develop value propositions for our products and services with a focus on scientific substantiation.
Translate value propositions into fit-for-purpose commercial materials.
Collate scientific input (from both internal and external sources) and translate this into content for marketing campaigns, website, business development tools etc.
Create fit-for-purpose marketing and business development tools, e.g brochures, posters, whitepapers, flyers.
Execute social strategy and planning: develop content and visuals for social channels.
Write and/or optimize product descriptions and user guides.
Regularly align with scientific operations colleagues to stay up-to-date on research developments and incorporate these insights into marketing collateral.
Monitor the market & competitor intelligence regarding the developing science and application of iPSC technology.
Required experience and skills
- MSc degree or equivalent experience in a relevant life sciences discipline.
Degree in science based business/communication or at least 3 years of relevant experience in a medical writing or similar role, preferably in a Biotechnology or Pharmaceutical company.
Excellent writing skills in English (ability to process complex scientific/medical information).
Experience working with CMS and SEO tools.
Experience working with Adobe design software is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Self-starter, motivated, ‘get it done’ attitude.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Good spoken and written communicator.
