Responsibilities of the Supply Chain & Facilities team are: purchasing, stock and inventories management, order processing, and outbound logistics to customers. In addition, the team manages the Leiden offices, laboratories, and equipment. We aim to strengthen the overall capabilities of the team, with special emphasis on global logistics of our hiPSC-based solutions. We are looking for a new colleague that adds to the team the specific capabilities of processing of international temperature-controlled shipments.

Job description

The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day outbound logistical activities, such as preparation and execution of shipments. Most goods shipped are temperature-controlled biological substances, therefore knowledge in this field is required. The Supply Chain Coordinator – Export Specialist ensures the timely delivery of all material. The Supply Chain Coordinator – Export Specialist is responsible for the execution of the order fulfillment process. Incoming commercial orders need to be assessed and processed. The Supply Chain – Export Specialist plays a key role in the inventory management of our product portfolio. The Supply Chain Coordinator – Export Specialist assists in the general processes handled by the team, e.g., ordering of goods, goods reception and administrative processing.

Tasks and Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Responsible for the preparation, execution, and follow up of shipments including interactions with clients, our 3PL provider, couriers, and preparation of shipping documentation
  • Manage and execute daily warehousing operations, including reception and storage of materials, and shipping of materials (pick/pack/ship)
  • Ensure that the inventory status is up to date
  • Adhere to procedures and report non-compliant events to the management in a timely manner
  • Ensure effective communication with all relevant Ncardia departments, maintaining good relations at all times
  • Assist in daily operations of the Supply Chain team

Required experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a logistics department
  • Demonstrated practical experience in intercontinental temperature-controlled shipment of biological materials
  • Understanding of Class 9 UN packaging and documentation practices
  • Experience in storage and dispatch of temperature-controlled goods
  • Laboratory experience in biotech/pharma/life sciences is an asset
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 or GxP or affinity with any other quality norm is an asset
  • Experience with ERP software is a plus
