(Senior) Project Manager

Human iPSC disease models recapitulate the profile of human diseases in vitro, providing a physiologically relevant model for the study of pathophysiological mechanisms and for safety and efficacy screening of compounds. Ncardia’s expertise and in-house capabilities facilitate the efficient generation of clinically relevant custom disease models based on iPSC technology. Our offerings range from custom manufacturing of a range of cell types, to disease modelling, screening, and safety assays to support clients in the drug discovery process.

The Position

As a Project Manager, you will develop and maintain succesful collaborations with our customers and manage internal development and customer programs/portfolios, lead project resourcing, and manage project execution. Together with the management and business development teams, you will also help shape Ncardia's strategy on customer experience and implement appropriate systems and controls to sustainably deliver results, improve productivity, and maximize quality and efficiency of client and internal projects. 

You are self-motivated and energetic with a strong focus on external and internal client relationships, and with experience in a service organization or demonstratable soft skills that are needed for managing commercial projects. 


  • Capture project technical needs and translate into business solutions in alignment with all stakeholders

  • Lead project planning and execution after project acquisition, serving as the main point of contact for clients

  • Assume responsibility for customer and other stakeholder satisfaction throughout a project

  • Organize multi-disciplinary project teams to deliver results within required timelines

  • Secure required internal and external resources and obtain buy-in of all project stakeholders

  • Direct, motivate, and hold project team members accountable to deliver results timely

  • Manage project scope, timeliness and agreed budget

  • Prepare project amendments, together with project proposal and business development teams

  • Provide input into mid and long-term program strategies

  • Produce accurate revenue forecasts (rolling 12 months) for managed projects and communicate status to management on a regular basis

  • Highlight operations and business risks, develop mitigation plans, manage risks and troubleshoot issues


  • Masters or PhD Degree in Biology, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, or related discipline

  • 3+ years of working experience as a Program or Project Manager in Life Sciences or related industry, preferably within a service organization

  • Project Management Certification Preferred (PMP)

  • Financial acumen managing large portfolios

  • Attention to detail, and problem-solving

  • Excellent organization, project, and time management skills. Timelines may be demanding

  • Good communicator

  • Can maintain flexibility in a dynamic environment

  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
