Ncyte CNS Neuron Kit II

The Ncyte CNS Neuron Kit II comprises of two key cell types of the human central nervous system: neurons and astrocytes. The cells are simultaneously generated from neural precursor cells and recapitulate the interplay between excitatory and inhibitory neurons. Their rapid formation of neuronal networks, prolonged viability in culture, and availability in unlimited volumes, make the Ncyte CNS Neuron Kit advantageous for neuroscience applications, compared to primary cells and animal models.

The Ncyte CNS Neuron Kit is ideal for early and late drug discovery for neurodegenerative disease and epilepsy, in vitro neurotoxicity assays, and disease modeling, through electrophysiological, metabolic and imaging-based assays. This 2nd generation of the Ncyte CNS Neuron Kit is created to increase the neuronal network’s performance: neuronal firing can be detected earlier, in more complex and structured patterns, for a longer period of time.
