Back Office Commercial Support Specialist

Flexible (Remote US or Leiden)

Position Summary

The Back Office Commercial Support Specialist will be a highly organized and commercially minded individual with experience supporting sales operations in the life sciences sector. They will drive key activities including proposal generation, CRM management, competitive intelligence, and lead generation to support Ncardia’s sales and business development efforts. This role is critical to ensuring smooth commercial execution and accelerating revenue growth. The ideal candidate will bring operational excellence, a solid understanding of the iPSC market, and strong collaboration skills to help enable success across the commercial team. 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Proposal Generation:
    • Prepare client-specific proposals for iPSC products, assays, and custom services.
    • Support pricing alignment and technical content integration in collaboration with the scientific and BD teams.
    • Maintain and regularly update standardized proposal templates and reference documents.
  • CRM Management:
    • Manage CRM records for biotech, pharma, and academic clients working in neuroscience, cardiac safety, toxicology, and disease modeling using iPSC platforms.
    • Track opportunity progression and generate reports to support sales forecasting and territory performance reviews.
    • Ensure data quality and segmentation for targeted outreach.
  • Competitive Intelligence:
    • Conduct deep-dive research into competitors in the iPSC and regenerative medicine space.
    • Track innovations, partnerships, pricing models, and market positioning to inform go-to-market strategies.
    • Prepare monthly competitor landscape briefs and ad hoc reports for leadership.
  • Lead Generation and Client List Creation:
    • Build qualified lead lists targeting pharma, biotech, CROs, and academic research groups focused on iPSC-based drug discovery and development.
    • Use industry databases, publications, and digital platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, PubMed, conference rosters) to identify new prospects.
    • Research and qualify leads and develop outreach strategies to engage prospective clients
    • Segment and maintain high-quality, actionable contact lists aligned with marketing and BD campaigns.
    • Support lead generation at conferences and trade shows

Qualifications and Skills

  • Degree in Life Sciences or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a commercial support role within biotech, pharma or life sciences
  • Knowledgeable of iPSC technologies and their applications in drug discovery and development is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of drug development processes, and the needs of pharmaceutical, biotech and CRO clients.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively
  • Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce, Hubspot) and document management platforms.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Proactive, with demonstrated ability to achieve or exceed key performance indicators

Preferred Attributes

  • Exposure to iPSC-derived models for neuroscience, cardiotoxicity, or disease modeling.
  • Familiarity with global biotech and pharma client landscapes.
  • Prior use of lead enrichment tools (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Global Data, Zoom Info, BioPharm Insight).
