Position Summary
The Global Business Development Manager for iPSC Products will be a highly motivated individual with proven sales experience within the Life Sciences industry. They are responsible for the direct selling activities of Ncardia’s catalog products and will lead strategic and tactical efforts to expand the customer base, drive revenue growth, and increase market share for our portfolio of iPSC-derived products. They will develop a consultative selling approach offering a strong value proposition to the customer experience. This Global Business Development Manager will win opportunities by providing customers with intellectual input into project design drawing on their own scientific acumen and pulling in other technical specialists when required. The market will recognize this individual as offering best in class scientific/product knowledge, and an unmatched understanding of customer needs.
Responsibilities and Duties
A client focused approach with strong customer service is key to our business. Your main duties and responsibilities are:
- Direct responsibility for growth of Ncardia products to meet defined revenue targets
- Develop an annual account plan for assigned market segment and report monthly progress
- Responsibility for sales and revenue forecasting for territory
- Develop and implement strategies for the growth of existing clients
- Proactively seek out new opportunities for Ncardia products with new clients
- Develop and maintain an extensive market knowledge
- Develop a detailed knowledge or competitors, their activities and business risk
- Maintain up to date and accurate records within sales CRM
- Provide accurate sales reporting and forecasting of future opportunities in CRM
- Gather and analyze customer feedback, market intelligence, and competitive landscape to inform product development and positioning
- Work closely with R&D, product management, and technical support teams to ensure customer satisfaction and feedback is integrated into product development.
- Coordinate with operations and supply chain to align customer demand with manufacturing capacity
- Manage customer expectations with effective communication - utilizing on-site discussions, telephone/video communication and written communication
- A focus on continual improvement of scientific knowledge and new developments
- Communicate effectively with the management team by providing regular reports and forecasts on the progress made towards achieving your business targets.
- Contribute to Ncardia future product and service development through effective communication of market trends and unmet customer needs.
- Represent Ncardia as a subject matter expert at exhibitions, conferences and marketing functions.
Qualifications and Skills
- Degree in Life Sciences preferred,
- Significant business development experience in pharmaceutical biotech and/or CRO space
- Proven track record in product sales
- Demonstrated ability to grow customer accounts
- Strong understanding of drug discovery workflows, disease modeling, or toxicity screening using iPSC-derived products. Ability to translate complex scientific concepts into compelling product value propositions
- Demonstrated ability to close complex deals and grow key accounts in a global market.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to travel internationally up to 50–60% of the time
