Ncyte® Motor Neurons

Human iPSC-derived motor neurons

Order Now

Ncyte® Motor Neurons are human iPSC-derived neurons that display characteristic neuronal morphology and express key markers of motor neuron identity.

Designed for CNS drug discovery and disease research, Ncyte® Motor Neurons provide a human-relevant model for studying motor neuron biology and mechanisms relevant to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) and neuromuscular disorders.

Benefits
  • Characterised motor neuron population
  • Suitable for functional neuronal studies
  • Relevant for motor neuron disease research

Technical Data

Ncyte® Motor Neurons display characteristic neuronal morphology and develop extensive neurite networks in culture. They express key neuronal and motor neuron identity markers, including TUBB3, ISL1/2 and HB9.

Immunofluorescence staining of Ncyte® Motor Neurons at Day 7 post-thaw demonstrates expression of TUBB3 and ISL1/2.

Ncyte® Motor Neurons are highly suitable for drug discovery and disease modelling studies where motor neuron dysfunction plays an important role, including ALS and SMA. Our team of neuroscientists is experienced in assay development and functional screening and can help you assess the efficacy and safety of therapeutic candidates in human-relevant motor neuron models.
