Ncardia developed a human iPSC-derived dopaminergic neuron model to capture the key pathological hallmarks of Parkinson’s disease (PD), providing a robust platform for screening potential therapeutics and studying disease mechanisms in vitro.

This poster offers an inside look, detailing:

  • How Ncardia’s iPSC-derived dopaminergic neurons replicate α-synuclein (SNCA) pathology and enable assessment of neurodegenerative phenotypes
  • High-content imaging and electrophysiology data revealing mitochondrial dysfunction, disrupted proteasomal activity and neuronal network changes
  • Insights into how PD-relevant phenotypes can be rescued with pharmacological intervention (e.g., rapamycin)
  • Quantitative assays assessing cellular and functional readouts
